How do you change a cathode ray tube?

i found an old sanyo tv on the side of the road and it will not turn on. i took off the cover and there were no shorts. ive removed the plastic surrounding the tube but cant take it out to change it.How do you change a cathode ray tube?
Unless you have experience with repairing TVs, I'd abandon this project. CRT TVs have 10,000 V (or higher) voltages running around inside them.

People are dumping their CRT TVs for flat panels, even paying for disposal. Put an ad on craigslist or you local newspaper for a free or cheap TV. I'll bet you get calls.
