How to change recessed lighting fixture bulbs?

There is a large circular recessed lighting fixture on my kitchen ceiling. There appear to be two bulbs inside which are tubes. How do I change the bulbs? How to change recessed lighting fixture bulbs?
Sounds like you have fluorescent recessed lights. These take a type of CFL bulb, which use pins to power them as opposed to a screw base.

You may be able to pull it straight out. If not, there may be clips on the sides of the lamp socket that you will need to release, then pull straight out.How to change recessed lighting fixture bulbs?
Hi

If the bulbs are Halogen ... use the suction cup.

There is a suction cup tool they sell at lighting centers and places like Home Depot, just tell an associate what you have and they can show you.
being that you have to go to the home center to get replacement lamps anyway, take a clear picture with a digital camera or if you have a camera phone of the lamps in the fixture with them off but enough ambient light for the picture to come out. Take that to the store, show someone in lighting and they will not get you the correct replacements but tell you how they should be replaced.
they just unplug just pull and they will come out i change them all the time just make sure u take the old one with u there are several diff types that look alike but they dont plug in and u will have to go to an electrical supply to get unless its a clear tube bout the size of a pencil then its halogen replace with same watt and do not touch the new one with your hand use a paper tower or they will blow quick
